Weddings with the batchmaker

First off, CONGRATULATIONS! What a sweet season and celebration of love!

Thank you for wanting us to be a part of your special day! We started The Batch House in hopes of joining you in all your celebrations, from birthday parties to engagements to graduations to promotions. I want to outline what we CAN do for your big day and see if that aligns with your vision, and, if it does, let's do it! If it doesn't...friend, don't worry. We will celebrate with you before or after the wedding and are so happy for you! Deal? Let's go!

So, let’s start with the elephant in the room. We don’t do giant fancy wedding cakes. Womp, womp. I know! Bummer, but I don’t want to promise you that I can do something when I can’t. I don’t have any fancy training and there are far better cake decorators out there for that. I can point you in the right direction if you need some suggestions too! As far as cakes go, we have done cake tables- where the couple orders a few different cakes that are presented together on different cake stands - it looks very cute and offers a variety for all your guests on flavors! ALL our cakes are 9 inch, 3 layer cakes. They usually serve around 15-20 people (but that depends on how generous whoever is doing the cutting is). I always suggest ordering one more for good measure, its always nice to have some extra for the couple or even to have some for the staff and crew that help make these special days happen.

The other big thing we do is an assortment of treats. We can make the majority of our treats in mini versions, like mini OCPs, mini brownies, cookies etc. There is a minimum order quantity on these but it’s another fun way to have an assortment of sweets at a wedding. We’ve had weddings with a few cakes and under the cake stands: mini chocolate chip puddle cookies or mini pop tarts! Super cute.

It's getting long, I know! Almost done. We don’t deliver treats and we like to tell this to the client upfront because it doesn't only mean that we don't take the treats in but it means that you need to have someone pick up (hopefully the slowest driver you know ;) ha!) BUT also means that someone has to do the set up for you (ie. put the cakes on cake stands and mini pop tarts and cookies if you may on the table or serving platters). Another note on delivery, if you're not celebrating locally- it's a big feat driving cakes for a couple of hours. We can't guarantee what happens with the cakes once it's out of our possession and a cake in a car for long periods of time...ahhh just makes me nervous!

We like all our wedding orders to be picked up the day before, yes it means your cookies won't be melty and warm, but also your cookies will be less messy if theyre not melting or soft and crumbly which, in this one single occasion, I will say, is a plus!

If you think all of this sounds like something you'd like to go ahead with, send us an email order@thebatchmaker.com with both your wedding date and pick up date and we can go from there.

Lots of love, and congratulations friends,
